2009 Royal 169SS

The 2009 Royal 169SS comes with several optional new features and upgrades.  Many of these factory upgrades are a direct result of your input and suggestions.  We take every suggestion to heart and make every effort to make your suggestion a reality.  Please keep them coming, Royal Boats is always looking forward to the next challenge.  Thanks for your help in making the Royal 169 SS the absolute finest stick steering boat on the water!

Optional gas shock for back deck lid and rod box lid- Yes, we have heard the people and responded.  The 2008 Royal will come with gas assisted lid lifts.  These will lift the lid and keep the lid up verses the old spring style which had a tendency to let the lid down if bumped.

Injected front deck lid and optional interlocking box- These front deck lids really give the front of the boat a "nose" lift!  They are injection molded and strong enough to stand on.  With a rubber gasket around the lip of the lid, water is not a problem on your gear.  We have kept the idea of having a removable storage box which will still allow you access to additional storage and for equipment maintenance under the dash.  Enjoy!

Flush mount Ezy-Glide stick steer-  The Ezy-Glide stick steering unit is now flush mounted for additional strength resulting in a more streamline feel.  The standard EZY Glide II offers more degrees of steering resulting in better control and less feedback.  The optional EZY Glide III offers a more sporty responsive steering than the EZY Glide II and is a good option for those running the gauntlet!

Wrap around top cap rub rail-  Once again, we have taken suggestions our owners have made and cured the unfinished look where the top-cap meets the hull on the transom.  The simple elegant solution was to wrap the rub rail down and around!  Thanks again for you help!

More flooring options!- Now you have the option of a standard grip floor, or an upgraded carpeted floor.

New seat option- Tempress SRS-  These new seats by Tempress will soon be available on your 169 SS.  Although the do not have armrests, the comfort is amazing!  They support you using a spring suspension system, and come in a variety of colors.  Of course the standard Tempress seats and the original Royal seats with armrests are still available.

New color choices- You name it, We can do it. Over the years we have built many custom boats that match peoples pull vehicles, or favorite football teams. Come give us a challenge.

Star- board pedestal doors- Star-board is the material that we use for the newer live well lids.  It is specifically manufactured for use in the marine and boat industry.  These doors are UV resistant and really give the seat pedestals a bold look.

Stronger stringers and support under the running pad-  Although we have not had one single problem with the hull and stringer system of the 169 SS, we still wanted to make improvements to it this year.  We have doubled the size of the stringers that directly support the area around the running pad.  This will not change the running characteristics, but will strengthen it in case of any impact to the area.

New entry line packages   Royal Boats has started a base line boat package for the fisherman that just wants to fish. It sports a Mercury 2 Stroke 50 Horse Power engine, and is built just like every other Royal ....tough and dependable.

More to offer -  Over the years we have been asked to upgrade to some amazing componats on our boats. Bring us a challange and we will see if we can get it done for you. Many of our custom boats have CD players, VHF radios, and fish finders with side scan, GPS, and big screens.

Factory installed upgrades-  Royal Boats can upgrade your older model 169 SS with most any new feature.  First, give us a call and let us know what you are looking for.  We will set up an appointment and get your 169 SS up to date!
