These open base pedestals are made in house and can be special ordered by color. We offer both flake and solid gelcoat finishes and have a few colors to choose from (custom colors other than the white take longer). Each pedestal comes pre-drilled ready to mount with instructions and hardware. The door on the front of the pedestal is made from "star-board" with an aluminum hinge and is weather resistant. The door has a plastic TH Marine slam latch for one handed operation. The open base of the pedestal is 16.5" X 17" and the height without the swivel is 9.25". (We do have a slightly larger style also) This unit comes with hardware to mount the pedestal to the floor. Pre drilled holes for standard seats and swivels are a free standard option. Please notify us if you do not want holes pre drilled. We can mark the hole location for you and not drill. Seat swivels and swivel hardware can be purchased for an additional fee (see link to our ebay items below).
These can also be used for garden stools, work stools, step stools (we can add non slip rubber mat to the top), or any place you need a little extra lift. I have one in the shop with casters on the bottom and a seat on the top, works great for low to reach areas and I can put my parts and tools in the bottom.
