DEC 2006-Welcome to the What's New page. This is where we discuss what Royal Boats is doing, changing, and planning! This time of year is very exciting for us. After a recent trip to the IBEX show in Miami Florida, we are full of new ideas and plans for the 2008 model boats. Some of the things were are planning are a salt water version of the Royal 169 SS and a full blown Brand new Salt water boat! We have also looked at several upgrades for the 169SS also.
The salt water 169SS will have several conversions which will make your trip to the flats a success every time. The first thing is the replacement of the carpet. We are planning on putting vinyl flooring in the vessel. Along with this, the carpeted lids will be replaced with a product called Star Board which is what the live well lids are made from. We will also remove the anchors from the boat and replace the trolling motor with a electronic salt water trolling motor. GPS is a must on boats going out in salt water. The Lowrance X-52 will be upgraded to the Lowrance fish finder with GPS! Several other changes will be made such as seat designs and the availability of a radio.
Our new salt water day running boat is on the design table. It will be designed with the same thought and exact placement that the 169 was designed with. Our goal with this boat is to make a boat big enough to get out there and get the catch. Returning from the catch, we will have a custom fit trailer to make loading and going easy. Multifunction will be the idea. Here are several options that will be available:
